Free Thinking Horsemanship

Charmaine teaches all levels and disciplines. She specializes in Hunters, Jumpers, Equitation/Showmanship and Confidence Building. She has ridden many different styles including English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Dressage, Eventing, Sidesaddle and Saddle Seat. She is a certified riding instructor with the American Riding Instructors Association and is a member of Centered Riding.

Charmaine is currently teaching at She focuses on teaching all aspects of horsemanship from grooming, tack, along with the riding. Safety is a prime concern for all those around horses. The other goal is to have fun...everyone learns better by having fun! Lessons are customized to each individual student and/or horse.

Charmaine will also travel a reasonable distance for riding lessons or to train your horse. She uses natural horsemanship techniques to train horses and is positive oriented. She is quick with praise for success. She doesn't believe in teaching students or horses through fear and intimidation. Instead she uses liberal encouragement and gentle reminders to reinforce the desired behavior.

Riding lessons! of riding lessons at their facility. If you own a horse and prefer not to trailer it to Charmaine will come out to your property and teach you on your horse. Rates may vary and will include mileage. Groups or multiple lessons at one location would lessen travel expenses and therefore be more economical for each rider.
Horse Training: Rates for training will be arranged on a individual basis dependent upon type of training needed and mileage traveled. Please send your location and needs by E-mail. Charmaine will come out to you and your horse to work with you both in an area familiar to the horse. Her training method is positive reinforcement based and includes instructing you in how to continue training the horse between sessions to increase the bond and trust your horse has for you.
